MOUNT STERLING, Ill. — Young builders in Brown County are getting a chance to combine Lego projects with computer coding through a new program at the Brown County Public Library.

The library is holding a Lego Coding Club Wednesday, September 30, made possible through a donation from the Dot Foods Charitable Foundation. The program is part of the library’s expanding lineup of hands-on educational activities for children and teens.

The Brown County Public Library says its youth programming is designed to encourage creativity, learning and connection. The coding club adds a technology component by giving participants an opportunity to build, code and create with Lego-based activities.

The program is not a one-day experiment. The library calendar lists additional Lego Coding Club sessions for October 14 and October 28. Brown County Public Library is located at 106 SW Cross Street in Mount Sterling.
