PLEASANT HILL SCHOOLS RECEIVE $25,000 LITERACY GRANT

PLEASANT HILL, Ill. — Pleasant Hill Community Unit School District Number Three has received a $25,000 grant from the Tracy Family Foundation to support its Literacy Excellence Initiative.

District officials say the funding will help strengthen literacy instruction and support the continued use of high-quality teaching practices throughout the school system.

The grant will be used to improve reading achievement, strengthen classroom instruction and provide additional literacy opportunities for students from preschool through eighth grade.

The district says the initiative is also focused on building sustainable systems that will continue supporting students and teachers beyond the initial grant period.

Pleasant Hill officials thanked the Tracy Family Foundation for investing in the district’s students, educators and long-term literacy goals.
