ROAD CLOSURE PLANNED ON NORTH MISSISSIPPI RIVER ROAD

CALHOUN COUNTY — The Calhoun County Sheriff's Office has announced a temporary road closure planned for Friday.

North Mississippi River Road will be closed near Kintown and Geiske from 8 a.m. until

3 p.m. on Friday, March 13, 2026.

Officials did not immediately release details about the reason for the closure but advised motorists to plan alternate routes during the closure period.

Drivers traveling through the area are encouraged to allow extra travel time and avoid the section of road while work or activities are taking place.

The Calhoun County Sheriff's Office says the road is expected to reopen later Friday afternoon.
