GRIGGSVILLE, IL — The Western Illinois Fair is getting ready for its 2026 Haunted Hayride, with this year's theme billed as “Haunted School” and three weekends of October activities planned at the fairgrounds.

The Haunted Hayride will operate from 7 to 10 p.m. October 16-17, October 23-24 and October 30.

Several family events are also returning. The Western Illinois Fair Queen and Princess Pageant Trunk Or Treat is scheduled for October 17 from 6 to 8 p.m. A new Touch A Truck night is planned October 24 beginning at 5 p.m., giving children a chance to see large trucks and machinery up close.

Conner Family Amusements will also return with carnival rides available for purchase each night.

General admission is $5 per person, with Haunted Hayride admission $10 per person. Organizers note that strobe lights are used during the hayride and flashlights and glowsticks are not permitted on the ride.

Moose Lodge 420 is sponsoring the Haunted Hayride.
