ADAMS AND MID CENTURY COOPERATIVES ANNOUNCE SYNETIC CONNECT NAME

GOLDEN, Ill. — Adams Telephone Co-Operative and Mid Century Telephone Cooperative have announced Synetic Connect as the name of their consolidated organization. The announcement follows approval of the combination by cooperative members, with joint operations planned to begin January 1, 2027.

The name will be introduced gradually over the coming months rather than replacing both established identities overnight. Customers will see the new brand as the cooperatives prepare for the transition to a combined operation.

The two organizations have a history of collaborating and sharing expertise for more than 15 years. The consolidation brings that cooperation under a common organizational structure and identity.

Officials have presented the transition as a continuation of locally rooted telecommunications service rather than an immediate change in customers' connections or day-to-day service arrangements. They say employees are not expected to be affected by the branding change.

The new name is tied to services that include broadband internet access and telephone communications, both longstanding parts of the organizations' work in western Illinois. An Adams Telephone Co-Operative federal trademark application for the Synetic Connect name was filed in March 2026 for voice and internet telecommunications services.

Customers should continue using their existing service and contact arrangements until the cooperatives issue specific instructions about any changes. The name announcement does not, by itself, establish new rates, changes to service packages or new local office procedures.

The January 1 starting date leaves the remaining months of 2026 for preparing member communications and implementation. Additional details about the transition are expected from the cooperatives as that date approaches.
