BOWLING GREEN, Mo. — Bowling Green handed Louisiana its first loss of the football season Friday night, defeating the Bulldogs 48–7 in Bowling Green.
The Bobcats’ 41-point margin was their largest of the season. Bowling Green improved to 3–2, while Louisiana fell to 4–1 after opening the year with four straight wins.
The result was a sharp turnaround for Bowling Green after a high-scoring loss to North Callaway the previous week. The Bobcats held Louisiana to one touchdown while putting up 48 points of their own. Muddy River Sports described Bowling Green’s strength and physicality as central to the win.
For Louisiana, the defeat ends an unbeaten start but leaves the Bulldogs with a winning record at the season’s midpoint. They are scheduled to face North Callaway next Friday at 7 p.m. Bowling Green is scheduled to play Van-Far at 7 p.m. the same night.
