Elaine Karol Dameron
Elaine Karol Dameron, 74, of Curryville, Missouri, passed away Thursday, February 12, after courageously battling a prolonged illness.
Elaine was born June 14, 1951, in Hannibal, Missouri. She married the love of her life, Floyd “Chub” Dameron, on June 12, 1971, and together they built a life centered on faith, family, and hard work in the Curryville area. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose family remained her greatest joy throughout her life.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Floyd Dameron; her children, Tony Dameron and Angela Maier; her grandchildren; and her great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 21, at 11:00 a.m. at Curryville Baptist Church in Curryville, Missouri. Burial will follow at Curryville Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday, February 20, from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home located at 606 West Main Street in Bowling Green, Missouri.
Doris “Jeanne” McKee
Doris “Jeanne” McKee, 80, of Bowling Green, Missouri, passed away peacefully Thursday, February 12, surrounded by her family.
Jeanne was born October 1, 1945, in Mexico, Missouri. She spent much of her career as a banker at Community State Bank in Bowling Green, where she was known for her professionalism, kindness, and welcoming spirit. Jeanne was a faithful member of Second Baptist Church, where she sang in the choir and taught Sunday School for many years.
She is survived by her three daughters, Melanie Alderson, Kelly McKee, and Vicki Jennings; along with grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 18, from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. at Second Baptist Church, located at 319 West Church Street in Bowling Green, Missouri. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 p.m. at the church. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens in Bowling Green.
Mike L. Rowley
Mike L. Rowley, 79, of rural Nebo, Illinois, passed away Saturday, February 14, at Eastside Health and Rehabilitation Center in Pittsfield.
Mike was born November 16, 1946, in Pittsfield, Illinois. He spent many years working at Edward Webb’s Sawmill and later operated his own woodcutting business. He also assisted with local farming operations. Mike enjoyed coon hunting, berry picking, and spending time visiting with friends.
He is survived by his children, grandchildren, siblings, and extended family.
A graveside memorial service will be held Friday, February 27, at 11:00 a.m. at Crescent Heights Cemetery in Pleasant Hill, Illinois. There will be no visitation, and friends are invited to attend the graveside service.
