PLEASANT HILL, Ill. — A milestone day for the Pleasant Hill/Western cross country program became even more memorable when the Forbis siblings swept the individual championships at the inaugural Wild Wolf Run.

The meet marked the first home cross country meet in Pleasant Hill/Western program history. With runners from around the region gathering for the new event, Pleasant Hill/Western made the most of the occasion as a Forbis runner crossed the finish line first in both the boys and girls races.

The sibling sweep added another chapter to a family that has become increasingly prominent in area distance running. Collyn and Kaylyn Forbis have both enjoyed individual success for Pleasant Hill, and the inaugural home meet gave them an opportunity to do it on familiar ground in front of the home crowd.

The Wild Wolf Run also brought together competitors from schools including Pittsfield, Clopton and Rushville-Industry, giving the new meet a strong regional field and establishing a foundation for what Pleasant Hill/Western hopes can become a recurring event on the cross country calendar.
