LOUISIANA, Mo. — Hands & Hearts of Pike County is inviting community members to take part in the planning of a major Fourth of July celebration marking America’s upcoming 250th birthday.

The organization will hold its first official planning meeting for the event, titled “Together We Shine: America’s 250th Celebration,” as preparations begin for a full-day, family-friendly celebration scheduled for July 4 in Pike County. Organizers say the event is intended to honor the nation’s 250th anniversary while bringing the community together for a memorable, locally driven celebration.

Hands & Hearts of Pike County is seeking volunteers, local organizations, businesses, and community members who are interested in helping plan or participate in the event. Opportunities include assisting with event coordination, hosting activities or booths, offering demonstrations, providing resources, or supporting the celebration in other creative ways.

Organizers say the planning meeting will give attendees a chance to learn more about the vision for the event, share ideas, and sign up to be involved. The goal is to create a celebration built by the community and for the community, highlighting local pride while recognizing the historic milestone of America’s 250th birthday.

Those interested in giving back, getting involved, or contributing ideas and skills are encouraged to attend the meeting and take part in shaping the celebration. Hands & Hearts of Pike County says community involvement will be key to making the July 4 event a success.
