PHS SAUKETTES SWEEP IDTA STATE TITLES

PITTSFIELD — The Pittsfield High School Saukettes brought home a spectacular haul of honors from the 2026 Illinois Drill Team Association (IDTA) State Finals, making Pike County proud with a sweep of state-level performance championships.


At the state finals competition, the Saukettes captured multiple top titles, including 2026 State Champions in Class A Lyrical and 2026 State Champions in Open Pom, along with the 2026 High Point Championship and 2026 Grand Champion team award.  In addition, standout performer Avery Wyatt earned the honor of 2026 Solo State Champion for her individual routine.


In remarks shared on social media and by supporters, the Saukettes’ success was celebrated as the result of dedication, hard work and team spirit, representing Pittsfield High School and the local community with excellence.

Pike County also cheered on the PCS Poms, who finished in the top 10 at the state meet, adding to the region’s strong showing.


This impressive performance at the IDTA State Finals marks a high-water mark for the Saukettes, showcasing their commitment to dance and competitive excellence and bringing pride to their school and community.
