PIKE COUNTY ARREST REPORT INCLUDES DUI INJURY CRASH, FIRE-RELATED CHARGES AND HIGH-SPEED TRAFFIC CASE

PITTSFIELD — A Pleasant Hill man accused of leaving the scene of an injury crash while driving under the influence, a Barry woman facing a fire-related property damage charge, and a motorist accused of failing to stop for police are among the major cases

included in the latest Pike County Sheriff’s Department arrest report.

Twenty-one-year-old Spencer S. Snyder of Pleasant Hill was booked into the Pike County Jail on August 21 on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol, leaving the scene of an accident involving injury, reckless driving, driving on the left side of the roadway and failure to reduce speed.

The arrest report does not provide additional details about the crash, including where it occurred, who was injured or the extent of the injuries. Snyder was released from custody August 22.

Another significant case involved 57-year-old Brandi Renee Cannam of Barry, who was arrested August 18 on charges listed by the sheriff’s department as criminal damage to property by fire and criminal trespass to land. The weekly report did not list a release date for Cannam.

Forty-eight-year-old Magna Batista Rocha, whose address is listed as Brazil, was booked August 17 after allegedly failing to stop a vehicle for police emergency lights.

Rocha is also accused of driving 73 miles per hour in a 45-mile-per-hour zone. She was released the same day.

The report also includes the August 20 arrest of 44-year-old Dustin M. Crawford of Griggsville by Pittsfield Police. Crawford was booked on a charge of driving while his license was revoked or suspended in connection with a previous DUI-related suspension and was released the same day.

Also appearing on the report is 36-year-old Jack L. Green, listed by authorities as homeless, who was taken into custody August 18 on a warrant charging predatory criminal sexual assault of a child. Green’s case has previously been reported by RiverNewsLive following a Pike County Sheriff’s Department investigation that resulted in two Class X felony charges involving a child under the age of 13.

The August 17 through August 23 report also includes several arrests involving outstanding warrants, failure-to-appear cases and other offenses.

All charges are allegations. Those charged are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
