PITTSFIELD — The Pike County Jail reported several serious arrests during the week of January 26 through February 1, with law enforcement focusing on offenses involving domestic violence, court-ordered protections, and impaired driving. Among the most significant cases, Brandy M. Stoye, 36, of Griggsville, was arrested by the Pike County Sheriff’s Office on a charge of aggravated domestic battery and was held from January 29 to January 30. Raegan A. Simpson, 29, of Barry, was taken into custody on January 28 for violating an order of protection, a charge that stems from allegations of domestic-related misconduct, and was released the following day. In another major arrest, J.W. Monroe Stewart, 35, of Mt. Sterling, was arrested February 1 on a charge of driving under the influence, with authorities reporting a .174 blood alcohol concentration, more than twice the legal limit; he was released later the same day. Other individuals were jailed primarily on court-related matters such as body attachments and failure to appear, which were not categorized as new criminal offenses during this reporting period.
