PITTSFIELD — The City of Pittsfield is inviting business owners, residents, and community members to attend a public meeting tonight to learn more about the upcoming Downtown Revitalization Project and what to expect as construction moves forward.

The public meeting will be held Thursday, February 5, from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Pittsfield City Hall, located at 215 North Monroe Street. City officials will be joined by representatives from Rees Construction, the contractor overseeing the project.

During the meeting, the construction team will present an overview of the downtown revitalization plans and outline the anticipated construction schedule, including the different phases of work planned throughout the project. Officials say the discussion will focus on how each phase may impact downtown traffic, businesses, and pedestrian access, with the goal of keeping the community informed ahead of construction activity.

City leaders emphasized that the meeting is intended to give local business owners and residents a clear understanding of the scope of the project and to provide an opportunity for questions and feedback. Representatives from both the City of Pittsfield and Rees Construction will be available to address concerns and share additional details about timelines and logistics.

The Downtown Revitalization Project is part of the city’s broader effort to improve infrastructure, enhance the appearance and functionality of the downtown square, and support long-term economic vitality in Pittsfield.

All community members are encouraged to attend, especially downtown business owners, as city officials say public input will be an important part of ensuring the project moves forward as smoothly as possible.
