PROSECUTORS SEEK TO REVOKE FORMER RALLS COUNTY DOCTOR’S PROBATION
ST. LOUIS, MO — Prosecutors are asking a judge to revoke the probation of former Ralls County doctor Andrew Hummel, alleging he violated a court order requiring him to maintain absolute sobriety.
Hummel pleaded guilty in March to two misdemeanor fourth-degree assault charges stemming from a 2025 domestic violence case. He received suspended one-year jail sentences and was placed on two years of probation.
In a motion filed in September, prosecutors allege video obtained through a warrant from cameras at Hummel’s Ralls County home shows him intoxicated on several occasions in June. The state also alleges a vehicle registered to Hummel was involved in a June 22 hit-and-run and that Ralls County deputies who contacted him that day observed slurred speech and swaying that prosecutors say were consistent with intoxication.
The state is asking the court to suspend Hummel’s probation, require weekly random alcohol testing, issue a warrant for his arrest and revoke his probation. A compliance hearing is scheduled for Thursday afternoon before Judge Jeffery McPherson.
