PITTSFIELD — After a stretch of colder winter weather, the Twin Pikes region is on track for a noticeable warm-up heading into next week, with temperatures climbing steadily and several days expected to reach well above seasonal averages.

Forecast trends show highs rising out of the 40s midweek and pushing into the 50s by Friday, with that warmer pattern continuing through the weekend. By early next week, daytime highs are expected to approach or reach the lower 60s, marking one of the warmest periods the region has seen so far this year.

The gradual warming trend will be felt across west-central Illinois and northeast Missouri, including Pike, Brown, Greene, Calhoun, and surrounding counties on both sides of the Mississippi River. While overnight lows will remain cool, the warmer daytime temperatures should provide a brief taste of early spring for the Twin Pikes area.

The warmer weather may allow residents to catch up on outdoor projects, enjoy time outside, or simply get a break from heavier winter coats. However, forecasters note that February can still bring rapid changes, and cooler air could return later in the month.

For now, the outlook points to several consecutive days of mild conditions, making the coming week one of the most pleasant weather stretches the region has experienced in recent weeks.
