WESTBOUND I-70 TRAFFIC SHIFT, DAVID HOEKEL PARKWAY RAMP CLOSURES BEGIN
WENTZVILLE, MO — Drivers using Interstate 70 in western St. Charles County are encountering another major traffic change as construction continues between Warrenton and Wentzville.
Westbound traffic is shifting left onto newly constructed pavement beginning Tuesday, allowing crews to continue construction of the remaining westbound lanes. The westbound Interstate 70 entrance and exit ramps at David Hoekel Parkway are also closing for approximately 30 days.
After the traffic switch, barriers will be in place along both shoulders of westbound I-70 through the work zone. Two lanes are expected to remain available during peak travel periods, and the work-zone speed limit remains 55 miles per hour.
The changes are part of the ongoing Improve I-70 Warrenton to Wentzville project. Drivers should allow additional travel time and watch for changing lane configurations through the construction area.
