Greene County Agricultural Fair Opens May 26

CARROLLTON — The Greene County Agricultural Fair is set for Tuesday, May 26 through Saturday, May 30, at the fairgrounds located at 123 North Route 108 in Carrollton.


The fair schedule opens Tuesday with the sheep show at 8:00 a.m., the art hall open from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., and the Miss Greene County Fair Queen Pageant at 7:00 p.m. Reserved seating is $17, with grandstand seating $6.


Wednesday’s schedule includes steer weigh-in at 9:00 a.m. and harness racing at 5:00 p.m., with all seating listed at $2.


Thursday includes the beef and swine show at 8:00 a.m., the art hall open from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., 4-H weigh-in from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m., and a Sadie Bass concert at 7:00 p.m. All seating is $15.


Friday’s events include the FFA show at 8:30 a.m., goat show at 4:00 p.m., pedal tractor pulls at 5:00 p.m., truck and tractor pulls at 7:00 p.m., and live music from Tyson Schulte and The Truth Be Told at 9:00 p.m. All seating is $10, with pit passes $20.


Saturday wraps up the fair with the 4-H show at 8:00 a.m., garden tractor pulls at 10:00 a.m., cornhole tournament at noon, carnival matinee from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m., master showmanship at 2:00 p.m., 4-H auction and Power Wheels Derby at 5:00 p.m., demolition derby at 7:00 p.m., fireworks following the derby, and live music from Highway 67 at 9:00 p.m. All seating is $10, with pit passes $20.


Gate admission is listed at $5, with children 5 and under admitted free. Nightly carnival armbands are listed at $30 Tuesday through Saturday, with Saturday matinee armbands listed at $15 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.
