MEREDOSIA — A 13-year-old boy was arrested after deputies were called to Meredosia-Chambersburg High School for a reported break-in and damage at the school.

The Morgan County Sheriff’s Department said deputies responded around 7:44 Friday morning to the school at 830 Main Street in Meredosia.

Deputies reported finding two broken windows and signs that someone had forced entry into the building.

Authorities said the teen was later arrested on charges of criminal damage to government-supported property and burglary involving forcible entry.

The suspect’s name was not released because he is a juvenile.
