LOUISIANA — A candidate in the upcoming Louisiana mayoral race is speaking out after reports of misleading campaign materials circulating in the community.
Woodrow Polston says he was informed that what he described as “misleading propaganda” has been distributed regarding one of the candidates in the race. In a public statement, Polston denounced those tactics, calling them a “total shame.”
Polston also said he has personally experienced issues during the current election cycle, including stolen and damaged campaign signs, false accusations, and what he described as bogus reports filed with the Missouri Ethics Commission.
Despite the concerns, Polston expressed confidence in the community, saying most voters are responsible and engaged, but acknowledged that a small number of individuals can create disruptions.
He is encouraging residents to report any suspicious or inappropriate campaign activity to help maintain the integrity of the election process.
The mayoral race in Louisiana remains ongoing, with candidates continuing their campaigns ahead of Election Day on April 7.
