NEW FACES ELECTED TO PIKE COUNTY, ILLINOIS BOARD

PITTSFIELD — Two challengers will join the Pike County, Illinois Board following the primary election, as voters selected a mix of new leadership and returning incumbents to fill five open seats.
Challengers Chris Lanhum and current Pike County Sheriff David Greenwood secured positions on the board, joining incumbents Mark Mountain, Andy Borrowman, and Board Chair Rita Hoskin, who also retained their seats in the primary.
Residents across Pike County, Illinois expressed optimism about the addition of new voices to county leadership, saying fresh perspectives could help guide future decisions and improve operations.
Community members say they hope the newly elected board will focus on key priorities including lowering taxes, strengthening the overall community, and maintaining strong oversight of county finances.
Voters emphasized the importance of collaboration between new and returning board members, encouraging leadership to remain responsive to community concerns as the county moves forward.
