PIKE COUNTY, MO -- Voters across Pike County, Missouri turned out Tuesday for a wide-ranging election that saw decisive wins in key races, including a dominant mayoral victory in Louisiana and several ballot measures passing countywide.
In the highest-profile race of the night, Mark Haddock was elected Mayor of Louisiana in a commanding victory, receiving 606 votes and easily defeating Woodrow Polston and David Czerwinski. The result signals strong voter support for Haddock as the city continues its push forward.
In Bowling Green, Thomas Thompson was elected Mayor with 185 votes, while Joyce Megown secured the Collector position. City council races were also decided, with McCoy Thompson winning Ward I, Mark Bair taking Ward II, and Myron Arttus elected in Ward III.
Countywide, voters approved two key measures. The Pike County Question passed by a wide margin, 1,195 to 440, while Proposition L also passed with a narrower but clear majority, 935 to 723.
School district results saw multiple decisions across the county. In Louisiana R-II, William “Shep” Sheppard and Kaleb Nunan were elected to three-year terms on the school board, while Lori Brown secured a two-year term. Proposition A in the district passed overwhelmingly, 636 to 138.
Elsewhere, Van-Far R-I voters approved their district proposition, while board races were decided across several districts including Silex and Wellsville-Middletown. In Clarksville, Sam Truckenbrodt was elected Collector, while Jerry Manfredonia and Shirley Underwood won alderman seats.
The Pike County Health Department Board also saw changes, with Ryan Bibb and Brenda Haddock emerging as the top vote-getters.
Overall, the election results reflect strong participation across Pike County, Missouri, with clear outcomes in both leadership races and ballot measures shaping the future of local communities.
