PITTSFIELD — Local business owners, aspiring entrepreneurs, and anyone considering opening a business in Pittsfield are being invited to take part in an upcoming quarterly business meeting focused on strengthening the local business community.
The City of Pittsfield says the meeting is designed to provide practical resources, encourage discussion, and gather direct feedback from the business community about current needs and future opportunities. Representatives from the Pike County
Economic Development Corporation and Chamber will be on hand to discuss business resources and support services available to local companies.
Attendees will also hear information about the importance of business succession planning, along with tools and assistance the city says are available for both new and established businesses.
City officials say the meeting will also include an open discussion where business owners can raise questions, concerns, ideas, and suggestions about doing business in Pittsfield and what additional support they would like to see.
The quarterly business meeting is scheduled for Thursday, June 11, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Pittsfield City Hall, 213 North Monroe Street. Organizers ask those planning to attend to RSVP by June 1 by emailing bemerick@pittsfieldil.org or calling 217-426-0827. Officials are also encouraging attendees to submit questions or discussion topics in advance so information can be prepared ahead of the meeting.
