PRITZKER APPOINTS PIKE COUNTY LEADER

PITTSFIELD — Illinois Governor JB Pritzker has appointed Gina Sheurman, Executive Director of the Pike County Illinois Chamber & Economic Development Corporation, to serve as a member of the Western Illinois Economic Development Authority.
The appointment is pending confirmation by the Illinois Senate.
Sheurman has led the Pike County Illinois Chamber and EDC for several years and has been involved in advancing business and economic initiatives across the region. In her current role, she works with local employers, entrepreneurs and community leaders to promote growth and investment throughout Pike County Illinois.
Before joining the Chamber and EDC, Sheurman served as Human Resources and Compliance System Manager at Farmers State Bank. She also maintains longstanding ties to John Wood Community College, where she previously served as President of the Southeast Advisory Committee and the College Foundation. She continues to be involved with the JWCC Foundation as a past president.
Sheurman earned a Bachelor of Arts in Media Studies and Public Relations from Quincy University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Illinois Springfield. She has also volunteered within the Griggsville-Perry school district.
The Western Illinois Economic Development Authority focuses on fostering economic growth, supporting infrastructure projects and encouraging business development throughout western Illinois, including communities within Pike County Illinois.
