LOUISIANA — Drivers traveling between Louisiana and Eolia could encounter lane restrictions later this month as the Missouri Department of Transportation prepares for resurfacing work on Route D in Pike County, Missouri.

MoDOT says resurfacing on Route D, from Missouri Route 79 near Louisiana to U.S. Route 61 in Eolia, is tentatively scheduled to begin in late June. The project is part of a series of seal coat and resurfacing operations underway or planned across Pike and Lincoln counties.

In Lincoln County, seal coat work was scheduled to begin as early as the week of June 1 on Route U, running from Missouri Route 47 near Hawk Point to just west of U.S. Route 61 near Moscow Mills. Once that work is complete, crews are expected to proceed to Route W from Route B near New Hope to Route KK at Brussels, followed by Route B from U.S. Route 61 near Auburn to Missouri Route 79 at Elsberry.

MoDOT says traffic will be reduced to one lane with a 10-foot width restriction during the work. Motorists traveling through the project areas should be prepared for delays, use caution in work zones and watch for signs and crews along the roadway.

The work remains weather dependent, and project schedules may change based on conditions.
