PITTSFIELD — Pikeland CUSD 10 has launched a comprehensive strategic planning process aimed at shaping the future of the district over the next three to five years.

The initiative, which began in February 2026, is designed to create a clear roadmap that will guide schools through the 2026–27 school year and beyond.

District leaders say the process will include input from students, staff, parents and guardians, and community members to ensure the final plan reflects a shared vision. The goal is to guarantee that every learner has access to educational opportunities that build the skills, understanding and abilities necessary to thrive in an ever-changing world.

The district officially launched its Logistics Team in February. Throughout March, surveys will be distributed and student and staff focus groups will be conducted, while a Strategic Planning Committee begins its work. In March and April, the committee will analyze feedback gathered from surveys and focus groups. A first draft of the strategic plan is expected in April and May, followed by revisions. Finalization of the plan and Board of Education approval are anticipated in June, positioning the district to implement the plan for the 2026–27 school year.

Superintendent Dr. Russ Tepen said community involvement will be a key part of the process. Those with questions or interest in participating are encouraged to contact Dr. Tepen directly at rtepen@pikeland.org.
