PITTSFIELD — Young anglers will have several opportunities to learn and practice fishing skills this month during youth fishing clinics at King Park Pond.
The clinics will be held from 9 a.m. to noon each Tuesday and Thursday through June 25. Each clinic is limited to 20 youth participants, but children may register for more than one session.
Fishing poles and bait will be provided. Participants may also bring their own fishing pole. Parents and caregivers are encouraged to remain at the pond during the clinics to assist their young anglers.
Registration is available by calling 217-622-7219.
The clinics are being offered through a partnership involving the City of Pittsfield, Illinois Department of Natural Resources Fisheries and the Pike County Quail and Upland Management Association.
